About The Position

As a GE Vernova accelerator, GE Vernova Advanced Research is driving strategy and leading research & development efforts to execute on the business's mission to help power the energy transition. We forge the collaborations and help invent the technologies required to electrify and decarbonize for a zero-carbon future. Edison Research Interns are the pipeline for the GE Vernova Advanced Research Edison Program. Job Summary: An Internship with us will provide valuable hands-on experience to help you launch your career in industrial research. Our team brings together world-class experts in the following disciplines: Mechanical Systems & Design AI, Software & Robotics Controls & Optimization Embedded & OT Security Aero & Thermosciences Material Chemistry & Physics Electronics & Electrical Systems Materials, Coatings & Modeling Chemistry

Requirements

  • Current or upcoming enrollment in a full-time Masters Degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry or related STEM discipline.
  • A passion for research and development, critical thinking, scientific reasoning, data analytics and interpretation and teamwork.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. This role is not eligible for employer immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.
