About The Position
Pellitteri Waste Systems, Inc., has been a locally owned and operated company for over 70 years. We are searching for a full-time 1st Shift Supervisor at our recycling center location. Requirements
- Strong ability to plan/schedule work for themselves and their staff
- Previous experience in leading a team; ability to direct staff
- High levels of organization, communication, computer, and writing skills
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
- Ability to effectively utilize systems involved in solid waste management, hauling, and disposal (specific industry experience preferred)
Responsibilities
- Direct day-to-day operations and staff
- Oversee and perform all matters related to recycling operations (ex. forklift, skid steer, front end loader, etc.)
- Conduct daily safety meetings and work safely/efficiently in a demanding processing environment
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Present a positive image to internal and external customers, assuring the integrity of PWS, Inc.
