About The Position

We are currently seeking a Zumba Instructor for the Greater Waco YMCA. The Zumba Instructor will lead group Zumba exercise classes. The candidate will provide a safe environment while welcoming, connecting, and supporting members in achieving their fitness goals. Morning availability needed About Us: We are a not-for-profit services Association focusing on mission driven initiatives, with a vision of building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities throughout 7 Texas Counties. Our organization is home to the largest school age childcare provider in Williamson County as well as health and fitness programs that improve the quality of life for over 45,000 members ranging from preschool to senior citizens. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Must hold an up-to-date group certification
Must hold a current Zumba/ZIN certification
Must be reliable with a good attendance record
Have a good knowledge of fitness and wellness
Be friendly, courteous, enthusiastic, possess a cooperative attitude, and be a team player
CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required within 30 days of hire
Be able to pass reference check, pre-employment drug screen, background check and sex offender check

Responsibilities

Keep current certification through a national certifying association
Attend all staff meetings and trainings as scheduled
Ensure class is set-up, starts/ends on time and equipment is stored appropriately
Follow association/branch dress code
Teach each class as formatted by the Health and Fitness Director and maintain agreed upon class attendance minimums
Shares fitness program information with members, using available tools and resources
Communicates with members and program participants while building relationships in support of their individual needs
Identifies and celebrates the successes of members and program participants
Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations
Be willing to uphold the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, responsibility, respect, and faith
