About The Position
The Louisville Zoo is excited to announce an extremely rare opportunity to join our team as veterinary assistant. The Louisville Zoo's veterinary team consists of two veterinarians, three veterinary technicians, and a veterinary assistant. As a huge bonus, Louisville has a small town feel wih big city attributes like awesome dining, professional sports,theater, major concert events and more, all surrounded by the natural beauty of forests, rolling hills, caverns, and waterways.

Responsibilities
- Providing daily husbandry care for hospitalized zoo animals
- Medication adminstartion
- Assisting during veterinary procedures
- Animal hospital organization (pharmacy, medical supplies, etc)
- Maintaining cleanliness
- Data entry, and other similar duties
