About The Position

The Zone Sales Manager (ZSM) at Campbell's is responsible for leading a team of Market Development Leaders (MDLs) and Market Sales Leaders (MSLs) to achieve sales, distribution, merchandising, and promotional targets. This role involves developing and implementing business strategies to drive growth across various brands and managing a revenue responsibility of over $100 million. The ZSM will engage with Independent Distributor Partners (IDPs) and local logistics organizations to maximize volume and minimize operating costs, while also providing leadership and personal development to the team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the consumer goods or food industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with retail partners.
  • Analytical skills to assess market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Ability to develop strategic business plans and execute them effectively.

  • Experience with independent distributor partner engagement.
  • Familiarity with business analytics and forecasting tools.
  • Knowledge of the snacks industry and consumer trends.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Market Development Leaders (MDLs) and Market Sales Leaders (MSLs) to achieve sales and distribution targets.
  • Develop and implement the zone business strategy to drive growth across brands.
  • Manage and evaluate the overall business plan to meet Campbell Snacks objectives.
  • Communicate targets for distribution, merchandising, and promotional execution.
  • Secure retail space for new items and develop relationships with key retail decision makers.
  • Assess competitive positions and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Design and forecast quarterly business plans to meet key metrics.
  • Conduct retailer-specific analysis to identify opportunities and make recommendations.
  • Monitor performance of MDLs and MSLs to achieve business strategies.
  • Cultivate and develop joint business engagement with Independent Distributor Partners (IDPs).
