About The Position

The position involves assessing stores in the area to ensure they exceed customer expectations in various aspects such as ease of shopping, service, variety, freshness, cleanliness, food safety, and regulatory compliance. The role requires taking appropriate actions if necessary and coaching and developing store management teams. The individual will be responsible for meeting and exceeding area and division sales and profit budgets while demonstrating the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assess stores for customer satisfaction in shopping experience, service, variety, freshness, cleanliness, food safety, and compliance.
  • Coach and develop store management teams.
  • Meet and exceed area and division sales and profit budgets.
  • Demonstrate core company values in all interactions.
  • Lead store management in planning and executing merchandising and operations initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities in assigned stores and develop action plans for implementation.
  • Drive cost-effective sales and maximize profits while reducing shrink.
  • Discuss store-level financial performance and develop budgets with store management.
  • Achieve return on investment on approved capital projects and identify potential opportunities.
  • Understand and react to the competitive landscape in the area and division.
  • Utilize store managers to achieve financial goals and ensure effective communication of division plans.
  • Support and follow up on merchandising and operations initiatives with store managers.
  • Provide feedback on the effectiveness of company initiatives to division and corporate staff.
  • Promote strong community relationships for stores.
  • Act as a company representative in litigation matters.
  • Facilitate interactions between store managers and division staff.
  • Demonstrate inclusive leadership and support inclusionary efforts.
  • Counsel store managers in developing their teams and identifying talent for succession planning.
  • Work with HR teams for recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating store management and team members.
  • Travel up to 75% to stores within the division.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports, complete performance reviews, and provide feedback.
