About The Position

The Zone Manager is one of approximately 20-25 supervisors responsible for organizing and directing the daily cleaning operations for a designated group of University buildings. Each Zone Manager oversees 10-30 employees and manages an average of 500,000 square feet of space, including offices, lounges, restrooms, student housing, classrooms, laboratories, entrances, exits, and stairwells. Each Zone Manager’s assigned area may require additional expertise in one or more areas. These may include expertise in housing and residential student facilities in a campus setting, including management of custodial operations for student residences, including preparation and turnover of housing units during summer and academic transitions; research, laboratory, or medical environments, including procedures for contamination containment, hazardous waste handling, and compliance with environmental health and safety regulations; academic and administrative settings, including maintenance of classrooms, offices, meeting spaces, and historically significant structures or holdings; and special event and athletic facilities, including coordination of housekeeping support for athletic events, academic gatherings, campus-related community events and other high traffic campus activities. Must have a valid NC Driver’s License or ability to obtain one prior to start date. Work Schedule Saturday – Sunday, 7:00am – 4:00pm. Monday, Thursday, Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm. Must be able to work flexible schedule based on business needs. This position works every weekend.
