About The Position

This journeyman-level role involves performing maintenance and repairs on buildings and facilities at the Medical University of South Carolina. Responsibilities include using power and hand tools for a wide range of corrective tasks within assigned zones, following established trade practices. Work may require occasional supervision, especially for new assignments, which are directed by the Hospital Help Desk, FSC, or Maintenance Manager/Supervisor. The position is designated as Essential Personnel during disasters.

Requirements

• High School Degree or Equivalent.
• 3 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on buildings and facilities.
• Use power and hand tools for corrective maintenance tasks.
• Follow established trade practices for maintenance work.
• Receive work assignments from the Hospital Help Desk, FSC, or Maintenance Manager/Supervisor.
