About The Position

The Part-Time Zone Lead (ZL) supports merchandising in designated zones and maintains an active selling culture by ensuring that all visual aspects are set and upheld to documented company standards designed to drive sales. Provides expertise in visual standards, merchandising techniques, fixturing, and implementation of all in-store marketing elements (signs, vignettes, endcaps, tables, first look/flash finds) that reinforce seasons/holidays and in-store promotions within their designated areas. The Zone Lead influences store Team Members to be knowledgeable about visual merchandising and visual standards while always demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma/Equivalent.
• Excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. or team lift 100 lbs.
• Ability to interpret visual merchandising presentations and adapt to different store designs and architecture.
• Strong attention to detail regarding standards, marketing, lighting, fixturing, etc.
• Reliable and trustworthy role model for ethical and honest behavior.
• Creates a sense of urgency; promotes teamwork, delegates appropriately, and motivates self and team to accomplish objectives.
• Ability to comprehend, train, develop, motivate, and lead in a manner that fosters a smart & scrappy, safe, and fun work environment.

Responsibilities

• Supports all aspects of the visual merchandising processes for the store by planning and leading transitions, reinventions, product assortment changes, and resets.
• Maintains visual integrity, a neat/clean, organized environment, and inspires guests to discover ideas and solutions through compelling visual merchandising.
• Oversees Task Management by planning/executing the daily/weekly workload and assigned tasks in partnership with the Zone Manager.
• Participates in all freight processes for incoming freight and/or transitions, processes freight, and stocks designated areas.
• Supports the store team in customer satisfaction, inventory control/shrink, safety, loss prevention expense control, and customer experience.
• Serves as a role model and coach in all areas related to visual merchandising experience and provides continuous learning opportunities.
• Communicates and teaches visual priorities and creation of visual moments that support the customer experience.
• Reviews store financial and business data from the store scorecard, including sales and expenses, and acts to improve metrics.
• Ensures the maintenance of a neat, clean, organized zone with current signing and sets.
• Performs all other duties based on business needs.
