As a GDIT Zero Trust Network Engineer on an Enterprise Zero Trust Program, the work you’ll do will be impactful to the mission of our Federal, Intelligence and Defense customers. You will play a crucial role in leading, designing, implementing, and maintaining a highly distributed network aligning with Zero Trust principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Active SECRET clearance.
  • US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • 15+ years preferred.
  • Experience working with Federal and Department of War customers desired.

Responsibilities

  • Leading in designing and implementing an SD-WAN based network architecture spanning dozens of sites at a global scale.
  • Build, deploy, and configure Cisco routers and switches, Palo Alto products and appliances, (e.g., PA NGFW) in enterprise environments
  • Configure network routing protocols
  • Apply security best practices and frameworks for device hardening (e.g., NIST 800-53, FISMA, DISA STIG)
  • Ensuring alignment of designs with customer requirements and DoW Zero Trust Execution Roadmap.
  • Researching and evaluating new technologies to identify opportunities for network enhancements.
  • Planning for future network needs, including capacity planning, new service offerings, and resource allocation.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving network issues, providing technical support and guidance to other engineers.
  • Documenting network configurations, procedures, and standards, ensuring consistency and maintainability
  • Leading network engineering projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
