About The Position

Zero Trust Engineer The Opportunity: A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the Department of Defense (DoD) to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, a seasoned Network Engineer who knows how to develop the exact network DoD needs. As a Zero Trust Engineer on our project, you’ll coordinate with a dynamic team of thought leaders and experts to design, develop, and deploy lab proof of concepts for new and emerging zero trust technologies. You'll develop and demo new capabilities to prospective clients. Your technical expertise will aid in developing analysis of alternatives by comparing vendor products. You'll develop reference architectures and engage with vendors to determine product capabilities and resolve lab issues. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT or network or security engineering
  • Experience with computer networking
  • Experience with virtualized, cloud, and containerized, such as Docker or Kubernetes, infrastructure
  • Experience developing and executing test and implementation plans based on requirements
  • Knowledge of zero trust technologies, including ICAM, PAM, UEDM, EDR, SDN, ZTNA, DSPM, DRM, or DLP
  • Knowledge of PKI
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel, be detail-oriented, multitask, and prioritize
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with zero trust technologies
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), or Policy as Code (PaC)
  • Experience with API integrations and basic Python scripting
  • Experience with AI/ML, prompt engineering, RAG, and agentic integration
  • Zero trust certifications, such as Security+, CCNA, CCZT, or CISSP
