About The Position

College of the Sequoias Community College District accepts applications for part-time adjunct faculty pools to teach Business within its Business and Computer Science Department continuously. Screening committees will conduct the screening of candidates. Meeting the minimum qualifications for a position does not assure the applicant of an interview. If the department does not have an immediate need to add candidates to their pool, applications remain in the queue for consideration until the need arises, or for one year in active status. Part-Time Adjunct Faculty assignments may include weekend and/or evening classes at the Visalia Campus, the Hanford Educational Center, or the Tulare College Center. Part-Time Adjunct faculty positions are temporary positions and do not accrue rights to tenure.

Requirements

• Commitment to the community college mission and student success.
• Ability to serve students from diverse academic, cultural, socioeconomic, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Knowledgeable about and implement equitable learning and teaching methods appropriate to serve students from all backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in teaching Business courses at the community college level.
• Familiarity with the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive classroom instruction to community college students under the general direction of a dean or director.
• Teach face-to-face classes as required by the department.
• Collect and submit data on student learning objectives as needed.
