Requirements
- Strong portfolio of YouTube thumbnails or high-performing social visuals
- Ability to adapt to different visual styles and brand guidelines
- Deep understanding of what makes content clickable
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Figma, or similar tools
- Strong grasp of composition, contrast, and visual hierarchy
- Experience designing for mobile-first platforms
- Ability to clearly explain creative decisions
Responsibilities
- Design high-converting YouTube thumbnails tailored to different clients and content styles
- Translate video concepts into bold, instantly understandable visuals
- Use facial expressions, contrast, and composition to drive urgency, curiosity, or excitement
- Adapt to various brand aesthetics while maintaining strong performance principles
- Keep designs clean, high-impact, and mobile-friendly
- Make intentional design choices around layout, hierarchy, and color
- Provide a short rationale (3–6 sentences) explaining your concept and creative decisions
