About The Position

Under the direction of the Athletics Supervisor, the Volleyball Instructor will be responsible for developing players' technical skills, teamwork, and overall understanding of volleyball. As a Volleyball Instructor, you will create a positive and supportive environment for participants while ensuring safety and inclusivity.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of volleyball rules and regulations.
• Strong communication skills to connect with players, parents, and team members.
• Ability to make quick decisions and adapt to dynamic situations during practice or matches.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and resolve conflicts or concerns effectively.
• Ability to demonstrate various volleyball techniques.
• Agility to move quickly and change direction during instruction or demonstration.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and engage in active participation.
• Ability to lift and transport volleyball equipment and set up training drills.
• 1+ years' experience playing and/or coaching volleyball.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Instruct players on fundamental volleyball techniques, including serving, passing, setting, hitting, and blocking.
• Emphasize proper footwork, hand-eye coordination, and strategic positioning.
• Assess player skills and adjust coaching methods to fit individual abilities and needs.
• Provide constructive feedback to players to improve performance and boost confidence.
• Maintain effective communication with players, parents, and staff, addressing questions and concerns professionally.
