About The Position

As a Youth Treatment Specialist at Wedgwood, you will work in one of our residential homes alongside an experienced care team. Your role will involve implementing individual treatment plans tailored to meet the needs of boys and girls ages 10-16 in our program. You will mentor the youth, participate in recreational activities, and create a warm, loving home for teens who need a refuge. The position is crucial in helping instill compassion, self-worth, and optimism in residents who often come from challenging backgrounds. You will work closely with our expert clinical care team to mentor residents, build relationships using trauma-informed care techniques, help them develop healthy life skills, and teach them to advocate for themselves. By consistently showing up for our residents, you can help transform lives and have a lasting impact on future generations.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 20 years of age.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Additional education and/or certification in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience supervising at-risk youth preferred.
  • Ability to pivot, bend, twist, and stoop while bearing weight of individuals served.
  • Willingness to pick up third shift hours with advanced notice.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. non-stationary weight through approved techniques.
  • Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the agency's goals and objectives.
