About The Position

The Youth Tracker is responsible for maintaining daily contact with assigned youth and ensuring compliance with their service plans. This part-time role requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to effectively support youth in various locations throughout Georgia.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 months experience working with youth and families or in a related field.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and possess an active driver's license, registration, and vehicle insurance.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to supply renewal documents to the Program Director.
  • Clear results from a criminal background check by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice.
  • Clear drug screen results from the organization's designated medical facility.
  • Good verbal and writing skills.
  • Ability to assist with goal-oriented casework.
  • Ability to manage conflict and perform well in crisis situations.
  • Ability to confront clients with problematic behaviors and set limits.

Nice To Haves

  • First Aid Certification (CPR).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face daily contacts with assigned youth at various locations.
  • Manage youth behaviors using programmatic and individual structure.
  • Develop and maintain helping relationships that emphasize youth accountability.
  • Complete required documentation for assigned youth accurately and timely.
  • Enter data into the Department of Juvenile Justice's Juvenile Tracking System (JTS) and Southwest Key Programs database (ETO).
  • Examine case files to stay updated on youth history and information.
  • Notify the Program Director or designee of any youth crises or incidents immediately.
  • Assist in coordinating youth activities and groups as needed.
  • Provide staff relief and be available for on-call assistance.
  • Advocate for youth in health, education, vocation, legal, and family matters.
  • Assist with on-the-job training of new staff as directed.
  • Provide crisis intervention and administer first aid when necessary.
