The Youth Support Specialist is an individual who is receiving or has received services and supports related to the diagnosis of a mental illness, is in recovery from that illness, and who is willing to self-identify on this basis with BHH members. This position provides the youth assistance with system navigation and to support youths in feeling less outnumbered when they meet with adults. The Youth Support Specialist assists in identifying support networks for clients. As a Youth Support Specialist, you will empower young people by helping them navigate complex systems, build confidence in adult-led environments, and strengthen their support networks.
