Get to know Thompson! Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida Tennessee and Kentucky. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services and foster care. All Thompson programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed with the intention of building resilience in our clients (ages 0-18) and their families, both virtually and in person. As a Youth Support Partner in the Thompson Youth Stabilization Program (TYS), you will provide engagement, support, guidance, mentoring, advocacy, and empowerment to the youth assigned to your caseload. A typical day involves engaging and mentoring youth to support their treatment plans, empowering self-advocacy, providing transportation (with reimbursement), responding to crises, and maintaining accurate, timely documentation. This role involves irregular hours, you will largely be responsible for your own schedule. Administrative tasks are typically completed during the day, while service visits and youth engagement occur in the afternoons and evenings.
