About The Position

Spectrum is seeking a passionate, experienced Youth Specialist to join their team at a Youth Residential Program in Bellville, MI. This role offers full-time and part-time opportunities and is essential for providing direct support, guidance, and security to youth in a supportive, structured residential environment. The Youth Specialist will serve as a key role model and source of support for teenage boys residing in the program. Spectrum, founded in 1976, works to strengthen children, families, and communities across Michigan, assisting over 1,450 individuals daily who face mental, physical, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges. The organization is committed to providing high-quality services in a positive and professional environment and supports staff growth through training and development opportunities.

Requirements

Dedicated, experienced youth worker
Thrive in an afternoon and evening setting
Minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Reliable, ongoing transportation is essential
Valid, unrestricted Michigan Driver's License and an acceptable driving record
Satisfactory results on an MDHS Central Registry Clearance and State Police Record Check
Satisfactory physical exam within one year of hire
Negative TB test

Responsibilities

Guide and support teenage boys
