Responsibilities

COACH DEVELOPMENT - The Coaching Coordinator will participate in training, on-boarding, developing, recruiting, supporting, and retaining Soccer Shots coaches. Such tasks may include: confirming time sheets, reviewing weekly attendance reports, shadowing and assessing new recruits, evaluating coaches and providing feedback and support, co-leading sessions with coaches-in-training, helping with coaching clinics and trainings, networking for new hires, & coach performance management / evaluations.
SUPPORT COACHING TEAM The Coaching Coordinator will be responsible for handling time-off requests from our team of part-time instructors and for coordinating the scheduling of substitute coaches The Coaching Coordinator will be instrumental in prepping the coaching team for each upcoming season, including sharing scheduling details, location information, and generally assisting with coaching-related details for each season Will provide support to the Coaching Team in other ways as needed
INSTRUCTOR ROLE - As a Soccer Shots Coaching Coordinator, you will be required to coach at any Pittsburgh-area sites, per the direction of the Soccer Shots Director of Coaching. The session load typically ranges from 20-25 sessions per week, but may fluctuate outside of this range given our season cycle. As the seasonal workload shifts throughout the year, adjustments will be made to ensure there is an appropriate workload balance. It is up to the Coordinator to appropriately schedule their time and to make adjustments as necessary.
CURRICULUM REVIEW - The Coaching Coordinator is responsible for having a thorough knowledge of Soccer Shots curriculum and will train and evaluate coaches in its implementation. Training includes providing tips and tricks to Coaches on implementation. Evaluation includes identifying revisions to curriculum to ensure the delivery of exceptional programming.
MARKETING SOCCER SHOTS PITTSBURGH - Help to market Soccer Shots to the greater Pittsburgh community with seasonal drop-offs of marketing materials, including flyers and yard signs. Additional marketing / PR responsibilities may include participation in local community and social events.
