About The Position

Soccer Shots® is an engaging children’s soccer experience with a focus on character development. We positively impact children, ages 2-8, through the game of soccer. Our coaches are the best-trained in the business. Our expert-approved curriculum is age-appropriate and aligns with childhood education standards. In addition, we provide an exceptional customer experience and consistent communication with those we serve. The Job: Bring “Soccer Island” alive with your enthusiasm and creativity in delivering Soccer Shots lesson plans and seasonal curriculum. Conduct soccer classes for children 2 to 8 years old, including field set-up and take-down. Classes may be held on-site at preschools, school partner locations, area parks, and other venues throughout the community. Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling. Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants by following all safety and quality protocols. Communicate effectively with staff, families, caregivers, and teachers. Important to Know: Currently hiring seasonal, part-time coaches for the Spring 2026 season with opportunity to work multiple seasons throughout the year. Hiring is expected to be completed by mid-February with field training completed by early March 2026. Most coaches work between 4 and 20 hours per week during a typical outdoor season (March - November). We are seeking candidates located in St. Charles County, St. Louis County, and St. Louis City. Top priority locations include: Wentzville/O'Fallon; St. Charles; Creve Coeur; Ballwin; Oakville; and locations near Tower Grove Park. Typical hours are Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. or Monday through Thursdays between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Preference given to candidates who are available to work Saturday mornings between 8:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. Occasional afternoon shifts at select locations. Coaches are provided uniforms, on-field equipment, and comprehensive training through and after initial onboarding. IDEAL CANDIDATE Confidently competent; demonstrated experience engaging and enthusiastically leading children between the ages of 2-8. Experience with soccer or other team sport (player, coach, etc). Early Childhood Education background preferred but not required. Gifted with patience, excellent imagination, and stellar silly face. Caring and others-oriented; known for engaging with children through specific and positive affirmations. Fervent in ensuring the safety and health of those we serve. Learning mindset; motivated and seeking growth, professional development, and continuous improvement. Driven and responsible, known for delivering results, honoring commitments, being organized and on-time. Believes the team comes before self and is team-oriented but is also comfortable working individually and/or remotely throughout the week. Thoughtful and professional communicator; shares perspectives, ideas, and feedback willingly and constructively. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must have reliable transportation and active mobile phone with data plan. Must successfully pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check and complete fingerprinting through MOVECHS. Ability to stand, jog, and model children’s soccer skills. Applicant minimum age for school-based locations is 18.
