Arlington Heights Memorial Library seeks an enthusiastic Youth Services Librarian to join our dynamic Youth Services team and collaboratively develop and deliver creative, hands-on, relevant, and adaptive services for our diverse youth customers, birth–teen, and their families. In this position, you will provide reference, readers’ advisory, resources for homework, and answers to a variety of quirky questions through interactions in Kids’ World and the Hub (teen space) service areas. Through programming and outreach events, you will engage young customers and caregivers, showcasing and connecting participants with library and community resources. As Youth Librarian you will: Develop, promote and facilitate innovative programs to support learning and a love of reading to meet the expressed and anticipated needs of the community’s youth Collaborate with other departments and community organizations Provide reference services and monitor youth areas, Kids’ World and the Hub (teen space) Participate in regular story time programming rotation
