About The Position

Go door-to-door with family-friendly, Christian literature for donations in order to help spread the gospel within SECC territory and help pay for educational pursuits. Maintain a team spirit and assist leadership with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and either currently enrolled in high school or have completed a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employee handbooks and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate and percent.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to keep accurate financial records.
  • Must possess leadership skills.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Have a heart for ministry

  • Enjoy witnessing and Bible-study
  • Be punctual

Responsibilities

  • Share Christ with people in local communities within SECC territory by providing Bible-based literature in homes on a donation basis.
  • Learn door-to-door evangelistic technique such as:
  • Witness in a Christ-like manner
  • Provide Bible-studies to interested individuals
  • Use motivation techniques
  • Sell Christian-based literature
  • Daily inventory of all books, radio, Bible study interests, and money
  • Fill out total sheet at the end of each night (how many books left in home, how many Bible study interests collected, total donations received)
  • Turn in safety radio to supervisor at the end of each session
  • Abide by the policies and procedures in the Student Literature Evangelist handbook and the Southeastern California Hand book, including, but not limited to:
  • Proper attire/dress code
  • Schedule
  • Participate in team-building activities and other duties as assigned.
