About The Position

Multnomah Athletic Club is more than Portland’s most legendary hub of sports and socializing. It’s like a small city unto itself. Where else can you find four restaurants, three pools, a climbing gym, state-of-the-art studios and fitness suite, a complex of racquet sport courts, massage offerings, a boutique, plus a grand ballroom and variety of events spaces all in one place? To say that every employee of MAC has room to move is an understatement almost as big as MAC’s 600,000 square feet of recreational possibilities. Want a career with a future? A campus worth exploring? A one-of-a-kind community on which you can have a direct impact? MAC is all of those things and more. The Multnomah Athletic Club is seeking an energetic Youth Programs Evening Attendant to join our Youth Programs team. This attendant will be working in our drop-in daycare space with families who have children infant to six years old. This individual will need to be available for a minimum requirement of Thursday and Saturday evenings from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m., and every 2nd Friday of the month from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. This is an opportunity to get more hours depending on availability outside of the scheduled shift times listed. At MAC, our Youth Program oversees an array of amazing spaces and popular programs. From those looking for entry-level employment as Child Care Attendants to qualified teachers ready to shape the next generation of learners and athletes, opportunities for meaningful, engaging employment abound. Plus, with the club’s emphasis on advancement from within, climbing the monkey bars from one position to the next is always in your grasp. Flexible schedules, the potential to creatively shape curriculum, a great benefits package, and plenty of opportunities for professional development and training make MAC’s Youth Programs a compelling proposition for both the fledgling and seasoned professional. A vast variety of club sports programs, not to mention camps and classes ranging from music to crafts to pure fantasy mean employees rarely get bored of doing the same old thing. Oh yeah, and you get access to the club’s facilities for your own personal use, meaning you can play as hard as you work, when you’re not working at playing hard, that is.
