About The Position

The Youth Program Supervisor is a fun, dynamic, and rewarding role focused on leading and supervising the Lone Mountain Rangers program, an outdoor adventure youth program designed to engage children in educational and recreational activities. This position plays a key role in ensuring that the youth program delivers exciting and enriching experiences for young guests, while also working closely with the Activities Supervisor in co-managing all non-horse Ranch activities. The Youth Program Supervisor will also collaborate directly with the Horse Program Manager for the Youth Wrangler program. This role provides opportunities for growth, leadership development, and hands-on experience in creating unforgettable guest experiences in a professional, energetic, and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children, outdoor activities, and creating educational, adventurous experiences. They will be organized, personable, and eager to learn in a leadership capacity. Additionally, the Youth Program Supervisor will be responsible for scheduling and arranging training sessions for their team, including First Aid and CPR, and ensuring that the program maintains the highest standards of safety and fun.

Requirements

  • Passion for working with children and creating fun, educational outdoor experiences.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a busy, dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with a team-oriented approach.
  • First Aid and CPR certified (or willing to obtain and maintain certifications).
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.

  • Experience in youth program management or related fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Lone Mountain Rangers youth program, ensuring a fun, safe, and enriching experience for all participants.
  • Work closely with the Activities Supervisor in co-managing all non-horse Ranch activities and creating schedules.
  • Collaborate directly with the Horse Program Manager to ensure the success of the Youth Wrangler program and its integration with the overall youth program.
  • Schedule and arrange training sessions for Youth Counselors, including First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Ensure all staff is properly trained in safety protocols and Ranch procedures.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Youth Counselors, fostering a positive and energetic team environment.
  • Develop and implement engaging, educational outdoor activities for youth participants.
  • Ensure that all activities are delivered in alignment with safety standards and provide opportunities for personal growth and fun.
  • Maintain close communication with parents and guardians to ensure their children’s needs are met.
  • Assist in developing and refining program offerings based on guest feedback and trends in youth outdoor recreation.
  • Collaborate with other Ranch departments to ensure a seamless and integrated guest experience.
  • Approve time and attendance for Youth Counselors and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Ensure all necessary program equipment is maintained and in excellent working condition.
  • Actively participate in youth activities and demonstrate techniques and leadership to the team.
  • Foster an inclusive, engaging, and exciting atmosphere for children and their families.
