About The Position
The Youth Program Coordinator will assist in the coordination of the Resilient Alaska Youth (RAY) AmeriCorps and Tobacco Prevention Youth Engagement programs. These programs support adult and youth leaders in communities across Alaska to promote youth resiliency and reduce substance/tobacco use through positive youth development, peer mentoring, and youth engagement in health education and policy issues. The coordinator will provide support to AmeriCorps members serving youth in rural Alaska, assist youth peer leaders, coordinate training events, ensure program compliance, develop resource materials, and implement community planning and evaluation tools. Site visits to rural communities may also be required.
