About The Position
Kids Orbit is seeking a passionate and creative Youth Performing Arts Instructor to lead engaging after-school programs for elementary-age children in Brooklyn, NY. This part-time, temporary position involves instructing students in various performing arts disciplines, including Music, Song Building, Musical Theater, Dance, and Drama. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performing arts and a genuine love for working with children, fostering a fun and inspiring learning environment. The after-school program operates for 10 months, aligning with the NYC Public School calendar, and classes are held Monday through Friday from 2:45 PM to 6:00 PM. Instructors are expected to be available for at least three afternoons each week throughout the school year. Proof of certification in relevant areas may be required, and previous experience teaching elementary school-age children is essential. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy collaborating with youth professionals and are dedicated to enriching the lives of children through the arts.
