Youth Peer Support Advocate – fee for service Are you passionate about helping young people overcome life’s challenges? Do you have personal experience that helps you understand the journey toward recovery and resilience? Join our team as a Youth Peer Support Advocate (YPS) and empower youth to find hope, strength, and independence. What You’ll Do As a Youth Peer Support Advocate, you will: Support youth experiencing emotional, behavioral, substance use, or developmental challenges. Help youth build life and coping skills, set goals, and navigate services independently. Share your personal story of recovery (as appropriate) to provide hope and connection. Encourage youth to take an active role in their treatment and transition into adulthood. Connect youth with community resources, peer groups, and support networks. Serve as an advocate and mentor to help youth voice their needs and overcome barriers. Ensure youth understand their treatment plans and that care is person- and family-centered. Accurately and promptly document services provided. What We’re Looking For Lived experience with challenges such as mental health, substance use, foster care, juvenile justice involvement, or special education. Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. Strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR). Good organizational and time management skills.
