As a Part-Time Youth Mentor, you’ll play a key role in our youth services program, supporting youth with disabilities in achieving their personal goals. Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older and possess a high school diploma.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation.
- Meet the State of Wisconsin’s minimum auto insurance requirements.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, including occasional weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to youth participants with disabilities.
- Assist during After School Hours (2:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.) and adjust to summer schedules (7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.).
- Assist with Non School Day Programming ((7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) VARIES
- Work collaboratively with the Aptiv team to help youth develop independence, social, and life skills.
- Mentor participants one-on-one and in small group settings.
- Teach emotional regulation, coping, and anger management strategies.
- Maintain consistency, strong communication, and accurate, up-to-date documentation.
