About The Position

As a Youth Mentor at New Haven, you'll step into a role that is as rewarding as it is impactful. This position is more than just a job-it's an opportunity to play a vital role in helping young women grow, heal, and thrive. Your daily responsibilities include fostering the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our students. From cultural outings and culinary projects to outdoor adventures and creative activities, you'll engage with teens in ways that build trust, inspire growth, and promote personal development. Your primary role is to ensure their safety and well-being while creating an environment where they feel valued and supported.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 21 years old or older
• Current driver's license and a good driving record
• Ability to pass a Utah State background check
• Must be willing to make a 8-month minimum commitment
• Willing to get Food Handlers Permit before first day of work.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meal preparation while promoting healthy eating habits.
• Attend and engage in group sessions with students, fostering a sense of community.
• Maintain a safe environment, ensuring the well-being of our students.
• Uphold professional boundaries while building trust and rapport.
• Collaborate with therapists to implement interventions aligned with each teen's treatment plan.
