About The Position

The Youth Mentor and Lunch/Recess Program Facilitator at Elevo is a part-time role focused on enhancing the well-being of students in grades K-8 through structured activities and social-emotional learning. The facilitator will lead groups of students in engaging games and sports, support their behavioral management needs, and serve as a positive role model to foster self-esteem and emotional wellness. This position is integral to creating a fun and safe learning environment during lunch and recess periods.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of working experience in education, coaching, child development, or other child-focused experiences strongly preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States, complete and pass a Live-Scan background check, and TB screening.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with elementary and/or middle school kids.
• Ability to manage groups of up to 20 students with minimal assistance.
• Skills in improvisation and adaptability in engaging with students.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of students through structured games based on the Elevo curriculum.
• Engage students in sports, games, and other activities.
• Support kids' behavioral management needs.
• Collaborate seamlessly with school administrators, teachers, and fellow coaches.
• Lead outdoor lessons designed to increase excitement about learning.
• Serve as a positive role model to the students to build kids' self-esteem and emotional wellness.
