About The Position
We are searching for a highly skilled and enthusiastic Youth Kickboxing Instructor to join our organization. The instructor's responsibilities include planning and scheduling classes, providing hands-on instruction, and ensuring students learn and train in a safe, supportive environment. Lessons may be conducted in both one-on-one and group formats. To succeed in this role, the instructor should keep sessions fun and engaging while fostering self-discipline, respect, and personal growth. Ultimately, an outstanding Youth Kickboxing Instructor will help students build confidence in their abilities and character.
Requirements
- Black belt (or equivalent) in your chosen martial art style
- Experience teaching martial arts to students of various ages and fitness levels
- Physically agile and able to demonstrate techniques clearly
- Strong leadership and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain a respectful, supportive, and structured class environment
- Excellent organizational and event-planning skills
- Passion for martial arts and youth development
- Level 2 background clearance and 10-panel drug screen required.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to train students for local, national, or international competitions
Responsibilities
- Schedule and conduct individual and group kickboxing lessons
- Teach age-appropriate techniques and forms
- Share historical and theoretical background of martial arts
- Foster discipline, focus, and respect among students
- Supervise sessions to ensure a safe and inclusive environment
- Promote the appropriate use of learned techniques both inside and outside class
- Conduct demonstrations or safety talks for parents, companies, and the public
- Monitor and report on student progress
Benefits
- $20.00-$22.00/hour, depending on experience
