About The Position

Our Mission Services team works directly with consumers, employers, and community partners to create lasting career outcomes. As a Job Coach, you will help participants take meaningful steps toward their fullest potential. This role is built on relationship, trust, and mentorship. You’ll serve as a role model, advocate, and guiding voice while supporting individuals as they build skills, confidence, and independence in the workplace. This is a seasonal opportunity with paid training and a defined program schedule.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or associate's degree
  • Valid driver’s license, active car insurance, and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to pass background check and drug/alcohol screening
  • Strong communication and mentorship skills
  • Ability to build trust and maintain professional boundaries
  • Comfortable working with youth in community and workplace settings
  • Organized and detail-oriented with documentation

Responsibilities

  • Provide case management, mentorship, and career guidance to assigned participants
  • Assist with goal setting and development of individualized success plans
  • Monitor workplace performance and provide coaching to improve skills and behaviors
  • Review job requirements and help participants build the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for success
  • Serve as a liaison between participants and employers to ensure clear communication and expectations
  • Advocate for participants to ensure dignity, respect, and appropriate workplace accommodations
  • Maintain regular contact and provide ongoing encouragement and support
  • Document all participant interactions in accordance with grant guidelines
  • Maintain accurate case notes, documentation, billable time, and mileage records
  • Maintain organized and confidential case files
  • Connect participants and families with outside resources when needed
  • Develop and implement follow-up support plans
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all Goodwill policies and safety procedures
