Come work where you play—and help us inspire healthier, happier lives for everyone! Job Description Youth Baseball & Softball Umpires NEEDED for Johnson County Parks & Recreation District (JCPRD). Looking for an exciting and fun way to become involved? Umpiring may just be the perfect way to get involved and make extra. Prior experience great but not required. Great part-time job for high school, college or anyone who likes being outdoors while earning $$$. We train new umpires and tailor training to fit your needs. Minimum age is 16 years and older. We provide shirts and have equipment available for usage at facility. Work as often or as little as you like per YOUR schedule. Must have reliable transportation and be dependable. Part-time, Seasonal employment Pay: $20.00 - $36.00 per game Flexible work schedule with expected hours: 4 – 20 per week (3 hours per evening) Sunday - Thursday. All games are from 60 -75 minutes. JCPRD Part-time Employees receive discounts for recreation activities and much more… Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.

Requirements

Minimum age is 16 years and older.
No experience needed, will train candidates with the eagerness to learn.
Requires punctuality and self-accountability.
Able to work in an outdoor environment.
Must have good communication with coaches and players.
Must be able to learn and apply fastpitch and machine pitch rules
JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.
