East Side House (ESH), founded in 1891, has served the South Bronx since 1963. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit, ESH is committed to enriching lives and strengthening communities. Recognizing that education is the pathway to economic and personal empowerment, ESH offers youth education and technology programs that help participants develop the skills necessary to achieve self-sufficiency and long-term success. Beyond education, ESH supports families and seniors through wraparound services, including food distribution, wellness programs, and community outreach. The Mitchel Community Center COMPASS Program, funded by the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), provides afterschool and seasonal programming that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of youth. Our school year and summer youth programs are designed to be dynamic, engaging, and safe, offering activities such as homework help, STEM, martial arts, sports, dance, music, and leadership development. We are seeking serious, passionate Youth Educators who have completed some college coursework, demonstrate a genuine commitment to youth development, and are eager to think creatively and engage meaningfully with our young participants.
