About The Position

The Youth Development Professional is responsible for the implementation of a broad range of programs for youth between the ages of 5 to 18 within a designated club in the areas of Education, Career Development, and The Arts. The Youth Development Professional provides supervision to junior staff. Program and the volunteer staff.

Requirements

Safety practices and procedures relating to the work.
Computer application related to work.
Principles related to the development of youth between 5 and 18 years of age.
Group leadership skills and understanding of group dynamics.
Instruct, coach and direct varied activities.
Implement goals, objectives, polices, procedures and work standards for assigned programs.
Exercise independent judgement and initiative within general policy guidelines.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
High school diploma, GED; some college required.
A minimum of two years of experience working with youth ages 5 to 18 years.
Ability to obtain certification in CPR and Frist Aid.
Possession of a valid state driver license.

Supervise the performance of assigned program volunteers and staff.
Contributes to developing partnerships with parents and families.
Contribute to developing and maintaining Public Relations.
