About The Position

Do you enjoy working with youth and creating spaces where they can learn, grow, and have fun? Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County is hiring Youth Development Professionals to support our afterschool programs. This is a hands-on role where you'll build relationships, lead activities, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people every day. As a Youth Development Professional, you'll help create a positive and engaging environment where youth feel safe, supported, and encouraged to try new things. From helping with homework to leading games and group activities, your work will contribute to helping members build confidence, develop skills, and stay connected. You'll lead and support daily program activities focused on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character development. You'll encourage participation, build strong connections with youth, and help maintain a structured, welcoming environment. Working as part of a team, you'll help ensure each day runs smoothly and that youth have a great experience at the Club. We're looking for individuals who are reliable, positive, and enjoy working with youth in an active environment. This role requires meeting Washington State requirements for licensed childcare, including completing background checks, required training, and health documentation such as a TB test and proof of MMR vaccination or immunity. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Staff working with middle school youth must be at least 21 years old, and staff working with high school youth must be at least 23 years old. Experience working with youth is helpful but not required-training is provided. If you're someone who brings energy, patience, and a willingness to learn, you'll be a great fit for this role.
