About The Position

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington is hiring a part-time, year-round Youth Development Professional! The mission is to empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible community members. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Must pass a National Criminal, Social Security, Local Criminal, and National Sex Offender Registry background check
• A willingness to learn how to work with youth is essential

Nice To Haves

• Proficient verbal skills in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and implementation of activities for youth in program areas (Education, Tech, Art, Gym, Games)
• Provide behavioral guidance using conflict resolution techniques, restorative practices, and problem-solving
• Provide guidance, affirm positive behavior, and act as a role model for youth
• Create and maintain a safe environment through active supervision, setting clear expectations, and ensuring clean program areas
