About The Position

The Youth Development Coordinator at the YMCA of the North is responsible for overseeing various program areas within the youth, teen, and family department. This role focuses on providing quality customer service and ensuring a safe, fun, and positive environment for participants. The coordinator will assist in planning and promoting programs while also engaging directly with youth and families.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working within Youth, Teen, or Family programming or Beacons.
• Demonstrated ability to provide and role model quality customer service.
• Self-directed and detail-oriented.
• Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.

• Experience playing/coaching sports teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director in planning curriculum and coordinating Youth, Teen, and Family programming.
• Work hands-on in programs, activities, and special events as needed.
• Provide quality customer service to members, volunteers, and participants.
• Perform administrative duties supporting Youth, Teen, and Family programs, including sports.
• Assist with the implementation and delivery of department trainings and meeting coordination.
• In the absence of the Director or Senior Coordinator, provide work direction to staff and volunteers and oversee daily operations.
