About The Position
Join our YMCA Youth Development Center team and CHANGE LIVES, INCLUDING YOURS. As a Youth Development Center Teaching Assistant, you will nurture and educate children ages 0-5 in our licensed childcare and preschool center environment. At the YMCA Youth Development Centers, we provide high-quality, values-oriented, state-licensed childcare and pre-school education. We have three locations in Bismarck Mandan--the Main YMCA on Washington Street, North location on Century Avenue and Mandan location inside the Family Wellness facility. Requirements
- We are seeking individuals who embody the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
- CPR & First Aid Certification and Child Abuse prevention training will be completed within 90 days of hire and are provided by the YMCA.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working in an early childhood or educational setting is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Being a Role Model: You'll inspire and guide young minds as a positive role model, setting the foundation for their future.
- Curriculum Facilitation: Implementing age-appropriate curriculum and weekly lesson plans written by the classroom Teacher to support early childhood development.
- Child Safety: Prioritizing the safety and security of our children by diligently following safety procedures.
- Parent Communication: Fostering positive relationships and open communication with parents by providing updates and answering questions.
- Organized Environment: Help to provide a clean, organized classroom and equipment to create a quality learning environment.
- Crisis Response: Being prepared to handle unexpected situations and emergencies promptly and effectively.
- Team Player: Actively participating in staff meetings, contributing your valuable insights and ideas.
