The Substitute Teaching Assistant provides care for infant, toddler or preschool children on an as-needed basis in a childcare and preschool center environment. Your responsibilities will include: Being a positive role model for the children and assuring quality care Overseeing feeding, playtime, educational activities, rest periods, bathroom breaks and diaper changing Upholding child safety by adhering to safety and security procedures Providing active observation and effective communication with Teachers and parents Part Time, As Needed, Up to 29 Hours per Week Pick Up Shifts Monday-Friday Between 6:30 am-3:00 pm At the YMCA Youth Development Centers, we provide high-quality, values-oriented, state-licensed childcare and pre-school education. Requirements
- We are seeking individuals who embody the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
- CPR & First Aid Certification and Child Abuse prevention training will be completed within 90 days of hire and are provided by the YMCA.
- This job is open to candidates ages 14 and older.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working in an early childhood or educational setting is a plus.
