About The Position

The Salvation Army St. Paul Citadel is doing the most good by providing
holistic, person-centered services to individuals and families in need. In
addition to worship services and pastoral care, services include short and
long-term case management; food, clothing, utility, rent, and housing support;
youth programming, and connections to community partners.

The Youth Development Assistant is responsible for assisting with youth
programming and activities.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in youth programming, ministry, or social services is required.
• Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, Senior Soldier in good standing preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, meet MVR driver’s qualifications and pass background checks.
• Flexible interpersonal and communication skills.
• High level of honor in dealing with confidential information.
• Works with integrity, valuing honesty and diligence.
• Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office, databases, and standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading youth programming, events, trips, and activities in various areas including spiritual, educational, recreational, and relational.
• Participate in Worship and Christian education programs including supporting leadership with planning and teaching.
• Maintain up-to-date, accurate participant information.
• Assist with seasonal and special events.
