Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related human services field; OR Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with two years of related work experience; OR Any combination of four years of higher education and relevant work experience; OR Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support; OR Four years of qualifying experience working with individuals with mental health disorders, substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities.
  • Must complete a successful background check including criminal record and driving record.
  • Current driver’s license and acceptable driving record; must have reliable transportation to transport clients.
  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects. Jobs involve sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide community-based mental health services through assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention implementation.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and stakeholders to craft and execute individualized treatment plans.
  • Utilize a strengths-based approach that emphasizes empowerment and skill-building, and incorporate evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
  • Coordinate care effectively with service providers, including primary care physicians and community organizations.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress to ensure compliance with policies.
  • Participate in staff development activities and contribute to the organization's quality improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare for and facilitate PSR group sessions pertinent to client treatment goals.
