Youth Cheerleading Instructor
About The Position
Join Overtime Athletics DMV as a Youth Cheerleading Instructor, where you will inspire and train young athletes in the art of cheerleading! This exciting position allows you to share your passion for cheer while fostering teamwork and confidence in children. We’re looking for energetic, reliable instructors who enjoy working with kids! You’ll help children build confidence and learn the basics of various basic entry level cheer after school sports in a fun, positive environment. Classes will begin after Labor Day this fall. Overtime Athletics DMV has been providing high-quality youth sports programs in Fairfax, VA for over a decade. Requirements
- Experience working with children
- Comfort in an athletic or recreational setting
- Basic knowledge of basic entry level cheerleading sport (we provide curriculum and training)
- Punctuality, professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm
- Reliable transportation to and from school sites (no mileage reimbursement)
- Availability between 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on weekdays (most classes are 60 minutes within this timeframe)
Responsibilities
- Lead or assist after-school entry level cheer sports classes at local elementary schools
- Run high-energy sessions focused on fun, teamwork, and skill-building
- Manage and transport your assigned equipment bag
- Engage kids in elementary school grades K-6th
- Ensure every child is safely dismissed before leaving
