About The Position
A Little About Our Program… Established in 1990, Sequel Youth and Family Services of Courtland is a licensed and academically accredited 46-bed residential treatment facility. The program specializes in treating adolescent males with maladaptive sexual concerns and/or behavioral disorders. The campus is located in Courtland, AL near Athens, Decatur, and Muscle Shoals. The Job We are seeking talented individuals to help drive the success of youth in our communities. As a Youth Care Worker you will provide direct supervision to all adolescent males ages 12 -18. You will serve as a role model and provide support & structure to the residents in our care. Snapshot of Daily Duties Supervise residents in their daily routines providing rewards and consequences as prescribed by our behavior management systemMaintain routine order on dorm unit and during activitiesAddress group concerns according to Positive Peer Culture standards and elicit positive change for residentsComplete assessments, reviews and other documentation in a timely manner
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required
- Over the age of 21
- Maturity, empathy and patience
- Be special – Not everyone can do what we do
- The ideal candidate must have the ability to adjust to a fast-paced environment and follow proper protocols
Responsibilities
- Supervise residents in their daily routines providing rewards and consequences as prescribed by our behavior management system
