About The Position

MHC is seeking Youth Care Workers for its multipurpose home in Goldsboro, NC. The primary responsibility of Direct Support Staff/Youth Care Worker is to provide program services to intervene with adolescents being served in a residential group home. The position's job responsibilities include implementing direct treatment services through use of the agency's model of care, providing residential care services, and working with adolescents, families, volunteers, and community representatives in the youth home and community settings.

Requirements

  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma and experience working with client population.
  • Must maintain a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program services to intervene with adolescents in a residential group home.
  • Implement direct treatment services using the agency's model of care.
  • Provide residential care services to adolescents.
  • Work with adolescents, families, volunteers, and community representatives.

  • Workers' Compensation: This agency-paid benefit covers on-the-job injury.
  • 403B Plan: Employees can contribute to a tax-deferred annuity plan; MHC matches a portion of the contributed funds.
  • Credit Union: All employees are offered membership to the Coastal Credit Union (CCU).
  • Employee Assistance Program: This agency-paid benefit provides easy access to confidential, professional counseling for employees and their families.
