About The Position

Foundations for Living is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Youth Care Specialist to work with at-risk youth receiving treatment services for trauma. This role involves ensuring residents are safe and programming successfully within the facility, providing daily care and supervision, and collaborating with a team of professionals to deliver quality care. The Specialist uses creativity to support youth, provides direct care, safety and security, and supervision through positive role modeling. The position actively supports the facility's mission of providing a safe environment for residents to heal and build hope. Foundations For Living is an 84-bed secure residential treatment facility for youth addressing mental health and substance abuse issues, located on 14 rolling, wooded acres in Mansfield, Ohio.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
At least one year of experience working with at-risk youth in a residential setting
Ability to work collaboratively with a team
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in challenging situations
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Valid State Driver’s License with appropriate Endorsements
Certified in CPR and First Aid (part of orientation class)

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field

Responsibilities
