The Project Fighting Chance Afterschool Boxing and Fitness Coach is a part-time position based in San Bernardino, CA, where the coach will report to the BFS. The primary responsibility of this role is to supervise and engage students in boxing and fitness activities, ensuring that the programs align with the organization's standards and the school district's contracted services. The coach will be instrumental in planning and implementing fundamental boxing training, physical fitness, and enrichment programming aimed at fostering a positive and engaging environment for students. The coach will work closely with students to cultivate trusting relationships, teaching them the fundamentals of boxing and physical fitness as outlined in the PFC's curriculum. This role requires creativity in creating a fun and innovative fitness environment, conducting fitness assessments for all participants, and supporting the planning and coordination of program activities. Additionally, the coach will help build positive relationships within the team and with school personnel, lead enrichment activities when necessary, and maintain a clean and safe program space. Regular meetings with the site coordinator will also be part of the responsibilities to ensure effective communication and program implementation.
