About The Position

Make game day smooth, safe, and fun! Help our Youth Basketball League run at its best by welcoming teams, supervising games, and ensuring a clean, safe, and friendly environment that follows Park District policies. Schedule: Weekdays 5–7 pm and Sundays 12–6 pm (hours may vary by league schedule and school availability) What you’ll do: Supervise league games; greet teams and the public upon arrival. Operate game equipment (clocks/timers); start and end games on time. Complete light custodial tasks and gym/facility set-ups and breakdowns. Patrol the facility for spills, hazards, or inappropriate behavior; stay on-site unless directed otherwise. Complete accurate incident/accident reports and other required forms. Follow all District policies, safety rules, and procedures; report concerns to the supervisor. What you bring: Age 16+ and able to work independently with general direction. Friendly, professional communication and strong customer service skills. Calm under pressure; organized and accurate with basic records. Sound judgment, confidentiality, and proactive problem-solving. Leadership qualities and teamwork with staff, coaches, families, and officials. CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Physical & Work Conditions Move tables, chairs, and equipment up to 50 lbs (over 50 lbs with assistance). Frequent walking/standing; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus).
