Under the supervision of the Athletics Coordinator, the Youth Baseball Umpire is responsible for the following: Ensures the game is played according to the rules, making fair and consistent judgments on plays such as strikes, outs, and rule violations. Manages the flow of the game, ensure player safety, and address any disputes or unsportsmanlike behavior on the field. Umpiring for different youth divisions: Coach Pitch (ages 6-8) Minor Leagues (ages 9 and 10) Major Leagues (ages 11 and 12) Pony (ages 13 and 14) Follows all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed; supports all aspects of the Park District's safety program. Performs all other duties as required. Essential Functions: Must be able to be on your feet for multiple consecutive hours, run, jump, and lift up to 45 pounds.
